Ranjan Chatterjee Board Director
Ranjan Chatterjee, joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1976, served as the Joint Secretary, Civil Aviation, Government of India, the Managing Director of Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (1995-96); Chairman, Airports Authority of India (1996-98).
He was the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, New Delhi (2004-07); Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya (2007-09), Consultant, Planning Commission, Government of India (2009-12), looking after the Environment and Forests Sector. He also served as an Expert Member, National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, Delhi (2013-17), where he was part of the bench which passed some landmark judgements. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the National Law School University, Guwahati.
He is an alumnus of the Hindu college, Delhi University, he post-graduated from the London School of Economics, London, and the National Defence College, Delhi. He has a keen interest in Environmental matters and is an avid reader.
