The Impulse Model Policing

Impulse NGO Network organizes training, consultations, shares knowledge, and develops handbooks for police and other law enforcement agencies, to sensitize their personnel about the best practices in tackling human trafficking. Impulse Case Management Centre (ICMC) also collaborates closely with Anti Human Trafficking Units to report, track and solve cases.

Policing is a key element of the Impulse Model, and so INGON works closely with various law enforcement agencies, especially Anti Human Trafficking Units, for prevention, in investigations, and helps solve many cases of trafficking and exploitation, as well as to pursue prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes against women and children.

For example, a Handbook for Law Enforcement on Trafficking in Persons, was created by Impulse NGO Network and North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) and supported by the UNODC. The handbook is a step-by-step guide for police officers and officers-in-training, and helps them recognise human trafficking cases and deal with its legal framework. Over 10,000 printed copies, and over 30,000 digital copies of the handbook are in circulation today.

In order to enhance policing and help co-ordinate human trafficking cases across state and national borders, INGON has set up various Impulse Case Management Centres, with a one-of-its-kind ICMC software that helps all partner agencies and stakeholders to report, track, and solve cases of human trafficking.

ICMC software works online and offline to provide law enforcement agencies with constant technical support, during the different stages of human trafficking cases.

OUR POLICING PARTNERS

Impulse NGO Network partners with several law enforcement agencies, especially anti human-trafficking units in several states of India, as well as in various countries around the world. These partnerships in Policing help immensely in putting an end to unsafe migration and human trafficking.

Given below is a list of our partners for Policing under the Impulse Model.
